Why I oppose it personally? Because I’m a Christian.
Why I oppose a federal law legalizing it? Because gay marriage is not mentioned in the Constitution. According to the Tenth Amendment, anything that is NOT mentioned in the Constitution shall be left to each individual state to decide via voting. Therefore, any federal law legalizing gay marriage is unconstitutional. Likewise, any federal law outlawing gay marriage is unconstitutional. Only states can decide on the matter. I support states holding votes. The problem with voting, unfortunately, is that Democrats are fascists and when votes don’t go their way, they say, “Well, the vote doesn’t count,” and they overturn the vote. That’s what happened in California. California didn’t want gay marriage and they voted overwhelmingly to keep marriage between a man and a woman (that is, to adhere to the definition of marriage). But Democrats didn’t like that, so they had the courts overturn the vote and say, “Haha, psych, we don’t allow Californians to vote, we’re fascists.”
Also, there is no such thing as gay marriage. Call it a union, call it a bladdyplop, but don’t call it a marriage. Words have meanings. Marriage is defined as a union between one man and one woman. Period.
Do I support gay couples being able to visit each other in hospitals? Of course. But I also support ANYBODY being able to visit family and friends in hospitals. Also, that’s not something the government has any business in, deciding how private businesses must run their business. Some hospitals allow anybody to visit anybody, some hospitals only allow friends and family, some hospitals only allow family. But, as I said before, liberals are fascists, they want to force their way of thinking onto everybody else. They demand that hospitals do what they tell them. Which is just retarded. If I’m not allowed to visit my girlfriend in the hospital, that’s the hospital’s rules. That’s the way it is. I’m not going to lobby the government take away that hospital’s (private business’s) personal liberty and force them to allow me to visit my girlfriend.

I think this is ridiculous. Without elaborating, because I’ve talked about this subject SO much, if you wouldn’t be...
