I am at my bookstore (not mine, but I work here) and went to the Constitution section of shelves. I pulled out a book called “Original Meanings: Politics and Ideas in the Making of the Constitution,” by Jack N. Rakove.

What to do if you’ve never heard of Mr. Rakove?

[Puts book back on shelf.]
