U-6 unemployment over the last ten years.
U-6 unemployment, as opposed to U-3, takes into account those with only seasonal jobs (for the holidays coming up), plus those who would like full-time work but, because of the economy, can only find part-time work, plus all of the jobless who have stopped looking for work and thus are not considered part of the unemployment numbers at all. So today, under Obama, the (U-6) unemployment rate is actually 14.7 percent. This is the number that matters, even though it is not the number that is ever reported.
