Because Obama is a liar. The Washington Post, a paper that is on Obama’s side, regularly gives Obama four “Pinocchios” in their fact-check section.

And the reason Obama can frame tax cuts as a bad thing is because he calls them revenue cuts, not tax cuts. He says that 5-trillion-dollar tax cuts equates to a 5 trillion dollar revenue loss. But it doesn’t. He’s either a liar or an economic illiterate. I vote liar.
