Yes, social media is heavily liberal, so taking it as a poll would be a skewed sample. That's why it's easier to enumerate threats against Romney from it, but the same (or more) amount of threats are probably there against Obama, just not vocalized over social media.

If a threat towards the President is not made public, then it is not counted as a threat.
