thisnoiseismusic asked: Hi! I was reading your "Atheists have no basis for morality" speech and I was hoping to maybe share a bit of my insight on the subject. "Morality" is a man-made concept. The concept of good and bad comes from the interaction of others withing a society. It's quite easy to see how in a society stuff such as murder, rape, and thievery is condemned. It harms others in the group and causes conflict. It's the basic premise for conflict and interactionalist theory in Sociology.

“[M]urder, rape, and thievery is condemned. It harms others in the group….”

So? Why, in the eyes of Atheists, is it immoral to harm others?
