How Conservatives Find Each Other

kidconservative:

A man came into the place that I work the other day (Jersey Mike’s, if you were wondering). He had on a shirt that had an american flag on it, similar to the new Obama flag:

but without the obama sign. It was just patriotic. It said something along the lines of “American Pride.”

I timidly said “I like your shirt.” He raised an eyebrow and smiled proudly. Using his reaction, I assumed he was conservative. Continuing on, much more cautiously, “You don’t see a lot of American pride these days.” and I trailed off, my voice going up an octave, “especially in maryylannd?” He laughed, and leaned in a little closer.

“You don’t have to tell me that. You should see my bumper stickers.” I glance quizzically at him. This time, he is the cautious one. “They’re all anti-oobaaamaa?”

I smiled at him and he relaxed. We had a nice conversation while his sub was being made about how we hoped against hope that Bongino would win the Maryland senate seat, and how Obama is ruining my life, so on, so forth.

I totally see how Chris feels when a conservative comes to his bookstore.

Hahaha, this story made me laugh. I can totally hear the way you guys were talking, saying your words slowly and prolonging them as your voice pitch goes upward. Haha, that’s exactly how I do it.
