Anonymous asked: The difference between homosexuality and polygamy/incest/pedophilia is that people in homosexual relationships are two consenting adults who are not related. I follow your blog for a different opinion, (and I respect your opinion) but it doesn't really sit right with me that you compared my relationship with my partner to incest. Could you please further explain that?

First of all, I don’t know who you are, and I don’t remember comparing gay marriage to incest/polygamy. I probably compared the argument for gay marriage to the argument for incest/polygamy.

But who cares if they’re related? You’re asserting that it’s wrong to marry someone you’re related to, just like anti-gay marriage people assert it’s wrong to marry someone of the same sex. You need to back up why you think incest is wrong between two consenting adults. You can’t just say, “Incest is wrong because they’re related.”

Also, why is it okay to marry 17-year-olds in one state, 16-year-olds in another, but only 18-year-olds in another? Is it immoral in one state and moral in another? No, if it’s immoral, it’s immoral, and vice versa. It’s just the laws, not morals. So what if a 17-year-old loves her 55-year-old friend and they want to marry, but the age of consent in THEIR state is 18? Why do you think that’s fair? “You can’t stop love,” right? “Love is love is love,” right?

Also, if the incest isn’t consensual, then it’s rape. Who cares that it’s incestuous if it’s consensual? Love is love, right?

And what’s wrong with polygamy? If three adults love each other, why do you want to take away their freedom to get married? Or do you only support marriage rights for gays and straights, but no one else? This is bigotry, according to liberals. Liberals, by their own definitions, are bigots, and they don’t realize it. They’re also hypocrites.
